From serving a hot meal at a local community kitchen, to visiting a lonely neighbour, to financially supporting those in need in our local communities and around the world, the people of the United Church are committed to turning compassion into action. In the last year alone, those who attend and support The United Church of Canada gave over $24 million to people in need and projects that matter.
Mission and Service does a surprising amount of development in Canada, recruiting new ministers, funding theological schools, shaping the hymn books we sing from in every service, and providing educational bursaries for ministry students and theological leaders.
Each year, Christ First sends a percentage of our Givings as well as donations specifically designated in the Stewardship campaign to Mission and Service. In 2024, our contributions totaled almost $55,000.
