"What the Churches Stood for and Brought into Union” This plaque is located in the narthex (lobby) at the Clarkson Campus. It summarizes the faith statements of each of the three churches (Presbyterian, Congregational and Methodist) who formed The United Church of Canada in 1925. There’s lots of similarities but some distinct differences too! Not all Presbyterian Congregations joined the United Church which is why we still see churches of this denomination in Canada.
