I'm New Here!
Welcome to Christ First!
Christ First was established in 2019 as a result of an amalgamation between Christ Church (Clarkson) and First United (Port Credit). We are committed to being an inclusive faith community, where all are treated equitably, through the welcoming of all people, of all gender expressions, identities, and sexual orientations.
Planning Your Visit
When does the worship service start?
We typically offer two services on a Sunday morning. Our 9:02am service features contemporary music on the piano, while our 10:30 service highlights more traditional hymns with our church organ. Occasionally, our two services blend together for one 10am service. Please check our calendar for upcoming service times.
How do I find you?
We have two campuses, as a result of our amalgamation. Sunday services are held at 1700 Mazo Cres., in Mississauga, ON. We are in the Clarkson community near the intersection of Truscott Road and Clarkson Road.
What should I wear?
You are welcome to come as you are! Please dress as you feel comfortable, and know that you are welcome unconditionally.
Are my children welcome?
Yes! Our 9:02am service with The Band and 10am Blended services feature a Children’s Time, followed by Sunday School programming each week. The sounds of children are most welcome during services, and we offer a busy station for those who may not wish to leave their grown ups to participate in Sunday School.
I’m not a member of the United Church of Canada. Can I still come to Christ First?
Absolutely! No matter where you are in your faith journey, Christ First is a safe space where you can bring your questions, and find kindness and support.
I’m a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Am I safe to come to Christ First?
Christ First is welcoming of all people, and strives to ensure that all are treated equally. We are currently working through the Affirming Ministries Program. Click here to find out more.
I have a disability. How will I manage?
Christ First is physically accessible from our main doors. When entering the building, there is an elevator to access the sanctuary on the upper level, and the auditorium on the lower level. We have large print service bulletins, as well as hearing assistance devices available for use during the service.
Are your services online?
Yes, we livestream most of our services on our YouTube page.
