81 Days Until The UCC Anniversary

“In June of 1925 I was five years old. On June 10 everyone in my family seemed to be rushing around. My father cancelled two patients. We were urged to hurry and get in the car. With great speed (about 10 miles an hour!) we drove along Bloor Street in Toronto.

We arrived at a very large stadium. Inside many tall men, dressed in black, looked like giants to me. I was a very small child. This was the beginning of our United Church of Canada. I especially remember all the mighty singing. I feel honoured I was there.”
