This past March 14th, in recognition of Pi Day and PIE Day, we hosted our first annual Pie Potluck! More than 40 folks attended from across the generations. We learned about the National Affirming Day/PIE Day, sang hymns of inclusion and acceptance, and enjoyed a variety of pies! 31 pies, to be exact, adorned our buffet table. Some sweet, like cranberry pecan, strawberry rhubarb, coconut cream, and our beloved apple pie. Some savoury, like chicken pot pie, tourtière, steak and Guinness, and even spaghetti pie. We even had cupcakes that were made to look like little pies! We say that it was our "first annual" because it was such a fun afternoon, we will surely be doing it again next year!
