How do I talk about someone without using masculine or feminine language?

Beyond pronouns, some people like to be described with non-gendered terms, such as partner, spouse, parent, grandchild, sibling, pibling (or parent's sibling, as an alternative for Aunt/Uncle), or nibling (as an alternative for niece/nephew).

Much of the English language is gendered, and it can be hard to adjust when we are used to using terms associated with men and women. If you don't know what someone would prefer, it's ok to ask!

Did you know: When you visit Christ First, we have buttons for anybody to use to display their preferred pronouns.
